The mythical city of Golconda had one business story to report: Everybody got rich. The real world of business, finance and investment is less accommodating, far more complex and deeply fascinating.
My goal: unpack complexity and connect with readers. Books, magazine articles, white papers and reports engage corporate executives, professional money managers, seasoned investors and everyday consumers who seek a better grasp of financial markets where retirement assets reside.
I've held senior editorial posts at CFO Magazine, American Banker and Corporate Finance Magazine. Freelance feature stories have appeared in Barron's, Institutional Investor, Global Finance, the Economist, Knowledge@Wharton, FTC:WATCH, and The Journal of Accountancy. At Time Inc. Content Solutions I oversaw publications for the New York Stock Exchange, Fidelity Investments and Key Bank. At the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission I helped turn exhaustive research and investigation into a report that exposed root causes of massive financial dislocation. Three books and a PBS TV series probe investment strategies of outstanding money managers: Five Eminent Contrarians; Beyond Wall Street (book and TV) ; John Neff on Investing. I also collaborated with macroeconomist Nouriel Roubini on his 2022 book MegaThreats.
Outside of business and finance I cover the not-for-profit sector, Broadway and regional theater, Nobel laureates who decoded the sense of smell, a global boom in children's museums and the 67th reunion of American veterans who fought fascism in the Spanish Civil War under the banner of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade.
